BEAUTY OF NATURAL STONE

Quarry

For millions of years, a combination of heat and pressure created blocks of natural stone. A quarry is a place where rocks, sand, or minerals are extracted from the surface of the Earth. Most granite and quartzite come from Brazil, India, and China. Most marbles come from Mediterranean countries such as Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

Blocks

Giant blocks of stone are cut out of the earth with diamond studded, high-speed equipment. This diamond wire cutting system has revolutionized the extraction process; a once laborious and time-consuming manual task. The blocks of stone are then moved to a processing plant where they are cut into slabs.

Slabs

High speed gang saws are used to slice the blocks into multiple slabs. The slabs are sent through a polishing machine that puts the desired finish on the piece. Beside standard polish, the slabs can have brushed or honed finish. There are several different types of sealers to seal the stone and complete the polishing process.

Protect your Investment

To preserve the beauty of your natural stone, we recommend sealing stone countertops regularly. How often should it be sealed?

That can depend on the type of stone you have installed and the amount of use. Some customers may want a more hassle-free solution for long-term stain protection.

The MORE™ Infinity™ Lifetime Warranty Program provides that extra level of protection for granite and marble.

This stain protection warranty gives you peace of mind when it comes to protecting your countertop investment with a full countertop replacement, not a new bottle of sealer
